Product Description The police can't help you
Former Marine helicopter pilot Jack Morgan runs Private, a renowned investigation company with branches around the globe. It is where you go when you need maximum force and maximum discretion. The secrets of the most influential men and women on the planet come to Jack daily--and his staff of investigators uses the world's most advanced forensic tools to make and break their cases.
The press will destroy you
Jack is already deep into the investigation of a multi-million dollar NFL gambling scandal and the unsolved slayings of 18 schoolgirls when he learns of a horrific murder close to home: his best friend's wife, Jack's former lover, has been killed. It nearly pushes him over the edge. Instead, Jack pushes back and devotes all of Private's resources to tracking down her killer.
Only one place to turn: Private
But Jack doesn't have to play by the rules. As he closes in on the killer and chooses between revenge and justice, Morgan has to navigate a workplace love affair that threatens to blow the roof off his plans. With a plot that moves at death-defying speeds, Private is James Patterson sleekest, most exciting thriller ever.

Don't Waste your time....... September 10, 2010 DMWC (omaha,ne) I love James Patterson and am a fan of his through and through. This book is horrible. It doesn't flow at all, had to keep putting it down and coming back to it to try again. Could not finish....it was awful. I have read other books that he and Paetro have written together and thought they were ok. This is the first one I absolutely could not finish. Love his Alex Cross, Womens Murder Club, Michael Bennett and his early maximum ride books. This one is just not written well. If you have to read it because it is a Patterson book...wait for paperback or check it out at the library.
patterson is the man. but tis is too much. boycott e books over 9.99. this is greed. james find a less cheapskate publisher September 9, 2010 Matthew Bainbridge 9.99 BOYCOTT. im a faithful patterson fan. his books got me through rehab and replaced drug joy with the joy of reading. I would buy this book right now if it were 999 but no. i will just read it in the library. maybe this kindle will make a good bookrest....
Not one of his better ones September 6, 2010 Tina S. (Pottstown,PA) I have read all of James Patterson's books and this was not one of his better ones. I am so glad that I got it out of the library. Don't waste your $12.99 to buy it on the kindle!
Disjointed September 6, 2010 P. Miller (Ks) This is probably one of the most disjointed Patterson books I have ever read and I have read most of his books. His Alex Cross, and the women's murder series were fantastic but this is not worth struggling through in my opinion
The Private September 5, 2010 Cheryl L. Patti (St Pete Beach, FL, US) Seemed to take a while longer than usual to get my book, the condition of the book is as stated
