Product Description
In 2005, firebrand radio talk show host Neal Boortz and Georgia congressman John Linder created The FairTax Book, presenting the American public with a bold new plan designed to eliminate federal taxes and the IRS, jump-start the U.S. economy, bring back lost industries and jobs, and recapture billions of untaxed dollars hoarded by criminal and offshore businesses. Their book became an immediate #1 New York Times bestseller, propelling a powerful grassroots tax reform movement that's spreading like wildfire across our nation. Now, three years later, the authors are back to answer the outspoken and misinformed critics of their innovative proposal. Offering eye-opening new insights not covered in the original book, FairTax: The Truth debunks the negative myths and gross misrepresentations of this groundbreaking idea. The FairTax plan is simple, brilliant, and it will work—enabling you to keep all the money in your paycheck; eliminating the fraud, hassle, and waste of our current system; and revolutionizing the way America pays for itself.

I am sold on the Fair Tax now July 4, 2010 Hello I used to be a big supporter of the flat tax over the fair tax, but after reading this book I would choose the fair tax first. Of course, either one would be immeasurably better than the tax system we have in place today.
Fair Tax Answers June 4, 2010 Red Charlie Again, the authors put the information out in an easy to follow (if anything about taxes is easy) format.
Excellent book. Easy to read and understand. May 13, 2010 J. O'Brian (GAINESVILLE, FLORIDA, US) Why aren't we doing this yet? Can someone give me a reason? There are 180 million tax payers in this country and only 1 President. What's the problem here?
Extremely Important Book! April 25, 2010 Art A. Robertson (Lake St. Louis, MO) The American public needs this book to counter the various negative commentaries that seek to discredit H.R. 25, "The Fair Tax" Bill introduced by Congressmen John Linder. Few people realize that almost $15 million was invested over several years researching the impact of this simple and effective approach to funding the U.S. Government. Studied was the impact on various segments of the economy as well as individuals at all levels of income. It has the enthusiastic endorsement of a number of very well-known Economists, College Professors and Tax Code specialists throughout America, as well as sixty (60) co-sponsors in the Congress. Boortz and Linder point out the finer detail contained in the legislation that makes it a far superior taxing model than the present tax code, which contains thousands of pages, hundreds of tweaks and modifications so complex that even the IRS finds itself in disagreement on some of its intricacies. Billions of dollars are wasted each year by companies and individuals who are forced to pay for professional help to deal with their tax obligations. The authors point out the dozens of advantages of the Fair Tax to these as well as to the economy, generally. Legitimate questions and concerns are answered, while the outright lies and misrepresentations of those who oppose The Fair Tax are exposed as well. The reader is able to see clearly the true motivation behind the opposition, and it isn't pretty! This measure has the potential of rejuvenating our economy and creating a more prosperous America, but it will take a thoroughly educated public to get behind it and demand its enactment. "Fair Tax-The Truth" is an important work every American should read.
Great read and easily understandable description of Fairtax April 17, 2010 M. Milleville (St. Louis, MO) I purchased this book to read about the FairTax to write a paper for my communications class. I can say the book is an easy read, not boring like you may expect. It really gives a great description of the fairtax and is backed by numerous statistics and outside sources. I really liked that they added the chapters about some issues that people have risen about the fairtax and talked about how they can be solved or alleviated. I highly recommend if you are looking for more information about the FairTax.
